
RIDING LESSON PRICING
All lessons include use of our covered arena, safe horses matched to your skill level, and experienced instruction.

Private Lessons - $80
One-on-one instruction tailored to your goals. Perfect for beginners, experienced riders, or anyone who wants personalized attention. Lessons are 60 minutes (or 30 minutes riding + 30 minutes horse care for younger students).

Semi-Private Lessons - $70
Ride with 2–3 friends or family members. Great for siblings or riders at a similar skill level who want to learn together. Students must be able to tack up independently and be working on pre-canter skills.

Leasing Options
Want more time in the saddle? Our leasing programs give you regular lessons plus free ride time:

RIDING LESSON POLICIES
At Mare Meadows Riding School, we’re committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and structured environment for all of our riders. Please review our lesson policies below to ensure a smooth and positive experience. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out—we’re here to help!
Enrollment Policy

New Students: Sign up for a trial lesson through our Online Lesson Scheduler.
If no times are available, email us at lessons@maremeadowsfarm.com. -
If you enjoy your lesson, you can sign up for a regular weekly timeslot.

Enrollment is ongoing. Your lesson spot is reserved until we receive notice that you or your child will be unenrolled.

30-day Notice: We require a 15-day notice to unenroll.

Late Arrival: Arriving more than 15 minutes late will result in a forfeited lesson.

Instructor Substitutions: Instructor substitutions may occur due to absences or schedule changes.
Payment Policy

Prices are per lesson, with 4–5 lessons per billing cycle (depending on the month).

Lesson dues are non-refundable, but they can be transferred to other services.

Invoices are sent on the 24th of each month. Lesson fees are due by the 1st. A $25 late fee will apply for payments made after the 1st.

Introductory Lessons must be paid upon booking. No lessons will be conducted without pre-payment.

If you decide to continue lessons mid-month, you'll receive an invoice for the remainder of the month. This invoice must be paid within 24 hours to secure your spot.
Make Up Policy

Lessons can be rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance.

Make-ups cannot replace tuition and must be used within 30 days of the missed lesson.

If Mare Meadows Farm cancels a lesson (due to weather, instructor absence, etc.), make-ups will be issued.

No lessons on Thanksgiving or December 24-January 2
Lesson Attire

Wear long, tight-fitting pants and a comfortable shirt.

Riding boots with at least a ½-inch heel are required.

Closed-toed shoes are required at all times in and around the barn.

Helmets are required while riding. Loaner helmets are available for trial lessons only. After your first lesson, you must bring your own helmet and boots.

If the rider arrives in non-riding attire, ground lessons will be held.
